Pilot Program Terms | Perk

1. Pilot Program Overview

Perk Infrastructure LLC ("Perk") is launching a Pilot Program to test and refine the Perk platform in the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor, Michigan market.

The Pilot Program allows both students/users and business partners to access the Platform free of charge while we collect feedback, optimize features, and validate product-market fit.

These Pilot Program Terms supplement our User Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Business Partner Terms.

2. Pilot Period and Duration

Start Date: The Pilot Program begins on March 16, 2026.

Anticipated Duration: The pilot is expected to last approximately 60 days, but Perk reserves the right to extend, shorten, or end the pilot at any time at our sole discretion.

Transition Notice: We will provide at least 14 days' advance notice before transitioning from the pilot to paid services.

The pilot period allows us to test platform stability, gather user feedback, and refine features before our official public launch.

3. Pricing During and After Pilot

For Students and Users

FREE FOREVER: The Perk mobile app will always be free for students and users. There will be no subscription fees, transaction fees, or hidden charges for users — now or after the pilot.

For Business Partners

During Pilot (FREE): All business partner services are 100% free during the pilot, including:

Business portal access
Unlimited perk creation and management
Analytics dashboard and insights
Multi-factor verification (NFC, GPS, visual)
Priority placement in app discovery
Onboarding support and training

Post-Pilot Transition: After the pilot period ends:

Founding Partner Pricing: Pilot participants will receive special "Founding Partner" pricing locked in for 12 months
Priority Placement: Founding Partners will receive priority placement in the app for 12 months
14-Day Grace Period: No charges will apply for 14 days after transition notice
Opt-In Required: You will NOT be charged unless you explicitly opt into a paid subscription plan

Pricing details and subscription tiers will be shared at least 14 days before any fees take effect.

Founding Partner Pricing Communication: Any changes to Founding Partner pricing after the pilot will be communicated with at least 14 days' advance written notice. Founding Partner rates will reflect a discount to standard published rates and will be locked for 12 months from the date of transition to paid services.

4. Scope and Features

Geographic Scope: The Pilot Program is limited to Ann Arbor, Michigan and the University of Michigan campus.

Beta Features: During the pilot, some features may be in beta, limited availability, or under development, including:

PerkPass loyalty rewards
NFC tap-to-redeem verification
Advanced business analytics
Push notification campaigns
AI-powered personalized recommendations

Platform Stability: As a pilot program, the Platform may experience downtime, bugs, or performance issues as we optimize and scale. We appreciate your patience and feedback during this period.

5. Feedback and Improvements

Feedback License: By participating in the pilot, you grant Perk a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use any feedback, suggestions, ideas, or recommendations you provide to improve the Platform. This license does not extend to any confidential business information, trade secrets, proprietary processes, or non-public financial data that you may disclose during the pilot. Perk will treat such information as confidential and will not use it for any purpose other than providing services to your business.

We actively encourage feedback through in-app surveys, business partner check-ins, and direct communication. Your insights help us build a better product for the entire community.

6. Data Collection and Usage

Pilot Data Collection: During the pilot, we collect standard usage data as described in our Privacy Policy, including redemption patterns, engagement metrics, and feature usage.

Surveys and Research: We may conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups with your consent to better understand user needs and preferences.

Aggregated Insights: We may use aggregated, de-identified pilot data for marketing materials, investor presentations, and case studies. Individual users or businesses will NOT be identified without explicit consent.

7. Voluntary Participation

Participation in the Pilot Program is entirely voluntary. You may stop using the Platform at any time with no obligation or penalty.

There is no obligation to continue using Perk after the pilot period ends or to subscribe to any paid services.

8. Pilot Termination and Transition

For Users

The transition from pilot to public launch will be seamless. Your account, saved perks, and PerkPass progress will be preserved. The app will remain free.

For Business Partners

Transition Notice: We will provide at least 14 days' advance notice before the pilot ends, including:

Pricing tiers and subscription options
Founding Partner pricing details (12-month lock)
Instructions for opting into paid plans

Decision Window: You will have 14 days to decide whether to continue with a paid subscription or discontinue service.

Unredeemed Perks: Any perks that were live during the pilot and have been saved by users will remain active during the 14-day transition period to ensure users can redeem them.

Data After Pilot

If you choose not to continue with Perk after the pilot period, you may request deletion of your business data by contacting support@perkapp.co within 30 days of the pilot's conclusion. Upon receiving your request, we will delete your business profile, perk history, and associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as aggregated, de-identified analytics). After the 30-day request window, data will be retained and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Pilot-Specific Disclaimers

THE PILOT PROGRAM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." FEATURES, FUNCTIONALITY, AND AVAILABILITY MAY CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE AS WE TEST AND REFINE THE PLATFORM.

We do not guarantee uptime, feature availability, or specific results during the pilot period. Your participation helps us identify and fix issues before our official public launch.

10. Governing Documents

These Pilot Program Terms supplement, but do not replace:

In the event of a conflict, these Pilot Program Terms control during the pilot period only.
